Simple but magic-al path to People happiness.

This week – on the way back from a meeting with a client – I listened on a radio to the interview with an experienced Psychotherapist. She talked about finding the right balance between 6 aspects of our life as the magical way to People’s happiness. It is quite simple, but still I found it very powerful – hence sharing.

The psychotherapist mentioned the following areas a. work satisfaction, b. passion / hobby i.e. doing what you love, c. financial comfort, d. health, e. your personal development and f. family and friends. To be happy, we must be present in all areas, and we must be satisfied in all those dimensions, sounds so obvious? If yes, please reflect how is it for you? What is your expected target per each area and what does it look like in a reality?

Each area is obviously different for everybody, and it is up to you define the target and or satisfactory status you are after. It is key to keep monitoring it regularly, since as life goes one our needs change … since we change e.g. my attention to health when I was 20 years old was different than it is today when I am 44 😉.

Second please note that one of the areas, it is your development … not the one which is imposed on you by your manager or the environment you operate in or your partner expectations, but it is your development. The key path to optimal self-development goes via self-awareness. Once you recognize your strengths – magic will happen. I’ve seen it happening many times in the past my team or recently with my Mentoring or Coaching Clients.

The power is in simplicity. As a homework to all who read this post, please:

a). Reflect on what is your balance level per each of the area.

b). Design the plan to enhance your life satisfaction.

c). Start progressing the plan.

d). Keep reflecting on it on a regular basis.
