It is the first report I came across that showed quite opposite trends what most of the leaders say … very interesting paper from #bsg. Check it out at.
Most of the #leaders say that thanks to pandemic our transformation efficiency increased and engagement of #people increased. We also say that now we deliver more value vs pre-pandemic times, and our main struggle remains with our people i.e. retention, engagement and overall buy-in into the change.
Interestingly enough #bcg report shows totally different results i.e. our value realization dropped from 72% in 2020 to 45% in 2022, cost to achieve more than doubled from 15% to 31%, duration of the #transformation initiatives decreased almost 4 times. The only area that did not change it is our employee buy in. Surprised? Now a key data point about us – leadership – our engagement decreased from a very low 58% to 38%, shocked?
Holistic approach to #ChangeManagement, Consistent Leadership alignment and Employee Centric – change management approach … those three factors are key to successful transformation. Can it work with #Leadership engagement at 38%?
Which version is the true one?
Are we i.e., leaders leaving a dream … stating the view and creating the narratives based on our wishes or indeed we are failing to transform … and the only most reliable factor are our People?
What is the solution? If #bcg is right … the solution is very simple … appoint the right leader and “Magic” will happen.
